Clinical Applications Specialist – Ultrasound Sonographer (Full-Time) 

Location: Western United States (Preferred locations include Denver, Phoenix, San Diego, or Los Angeles) 

About ExEm® Foam 

ExEm® Foam is transforming fertility diagnostics by helping providers perform HyFoSy (Hysterosalpingo-Foam Sonography), an ultrasound-based tubal patency assessment that offers patients a comfortable, radiation-free alternative to HSG. As our adoption continues to grow nationwide, we are expanding our Clinical Applications team to support physicians, sonographers, and fertility clinics through education, hands-on training, and ongoing clinical partnership. 

Position Summary 

The Clinical Applications Specialist serves as the clinical expert for ExEm® Foam within an assigned region. This field-based role partners closely with fertility clinics, physicians, advanced practice providers, sonographers, and Account Managers to ensure successful implementation, clinical confidence, and continued utilization of ExEm® Foam. 

The ideal candidate is an experienced Women’s Health sonographer who enjoys educating others, building lasting professional relationships, and helping clinicians successfully integrate new technology into patient care. 

Essential Responsibilities 

  • Deliver hands-on clinical training and virtual education to physicians, sonographers, advanced practice providers, and nursing staff. 
  • Provide real-time clinical support during initial HyFoSy procedures, including ultrasound optimization and imaging best practices. 
  • Partner with the commercial team to support product adoption, account growth, and customer success. 
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with fertility clinics through ongoing education and clinical follow-up. 
  • Present clinical evidence, best practices, and educational content during meetings, workshops, and conferences. 
  • Troubleshoot clinical questions related to ExEm® Foam procedures, imaging, and workflow. 
  • Document customer interactions, clinical observations, and training activities within the company CRM. 
  • Gather customer feedback and field insights to support improvements and educational initiatives. 
  • Travel nationally (approximately 50%+), including overnight travel and weekends. 

Qualifications 

Required 

  • Active ARDMS certification in OB/GYN. 
  • Bachelor’s degree or graduation from an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program. 
  • Minimum of five years of dedicated Women’s Health ultrasound experience. 
  • Demonstrated expertise in pelvic and transvaginal ultrasound imaging. 
  • Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. 
  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities. 
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel approximately 50%+ nationwide. 
  • Reside within reasonable driving distance of a major commercial airport. 
  • Ability to meet hospital vendor credentialing requirements, including BLS certification, immunizations, and background screening. 

Preferred 

  • Experience in fertility (REI). 
  • Experience performing or supporting saline infusion sonography (SIS) and/or HyFoSy procedures. 
  • Experience educating physicians, sonographers, or clinical staff. 
  • Experience presenting to clinical audiences or speaking at educational programs. 
  • Proficiency with 3D ultrasound and color Doppler imaging. 
  • Experience using Microsoft Office, Microsoft Teams, and CRM platforms.
